Drought? in North Texas

Yet another day of rain.  It seems hard to believe that we are in the middle of an extreme drought and under stage 3 water restrictions.  Lake Lavon, a major source of water for the North Texas Municipal Water District, is only 47% full.  It will take 18-21 inches to refill.  Well, we’ve at least put a good dent in it these last three days.  As I look out the window and see the water overflowing from my fountain (operation of ornamental fountains is prohibited except to support aquatic life – I still have a few back-of-the-class tadpoles developing) and water standing everywhere I try not to get restless to be gardening.  Here are a few drought pics as a reminder.

Soggy gardening and remember to “bee” positive!
